Ocean Knoll Mini-Farm Receives Donation from Chipotle and Agriculture in the Classroom

The program helps feed students from EUSD's nine schools in Encinitas and Carlsbad.

Ocean Knoll Elementary School’s Educational Farm received a $2,000 grant from Chipotle Mexican Grill and Agriculture in the Classroom in May, Mim Michelove of Healthy Day Partners told Patch.

“It is the first time that these two organizations have joined together to promote garden-based education in our region,” she said. “The (Ocean Knoll) Educational Farm is a new addition to our community where students will grow fresh, organic produce to incorporate into the salad bars at all nine EUSD schools. We are proud to be able to offer many innovative educational opportunities with both local and global impact.”
