Waterproof 101 Banners, Painted by Local Artists, up for Auction

Those interested may place silent bids by phone. A live auction will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cardiff Town Center Courtyard.

Michael Schmitt and Carris Rhodes of the Leucadia 101 Main Street Association take down the signs and tell us about the auction. 

Colorful banners seen hanging from posts on Coast Highway from Leucadia to Cardiff-by-the-Sea since February could soon hang in your home.
The 101 original waterproof pieces were created by local artists and are up for auction.
Those interested may place silent bids by calling 760-436-2320. A live auction will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cardiff Town Center Courtyard.

Proceeds will benefit the Downtown Encinitas, Leucadia and Cardiff Main Street Associations as well as the 101 Artists's Colony and the individual artists.
