YMCA to Hold Women's Bicycle Commuting Class Thursday

The class is open to anyone, but the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA encourages women to take part.

Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA:

The Ecke YMCA, Women in Transportation, iCommute and the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition are pleased to offer a free bicycle education class to help people gear up for Bike to Work Day on May 17. Bike to Work Day is a nationally recognized event that supports bicycling as a viable, environmentally friendly, cost-saving commute choice that can help lower traffic congestion while getting people more fit.

The bicycling class will be held on April 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ecke YMCA, 200 Saxony Rd, Encinitas, CA 92024. A League of American Bicyclist Certified Trainer will offer safety tips for roadside biking and ways to help improve bicycle commutes. The class is open to anyone, but we encourage women participants.
