2013 Diamond Ball Benefitting Tri-City Medical Center
Tri-City Hospital Foundation will once again kick-off the
holiday season with a spectacular North County tradition known as Diamond Ball. Scheduled for Sat., Nov. 2 at 6 p.m., at the
Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, the funds raised will support new state-of-the-art
equipment for Tri-City Medical Center. Tickets can be purchased at www.diamondballevent.com.
Through its philanthropic efforts, in 2013
Tri-City Hospital Foundation contributed $1.4 million dollars to Tri-City Medical
Center to purchase life-saving medical equipment including:
- $350,000
for a state-of-the-art digital mammography machine. - $250,000 for a Sotera Wireless ViSi Mobile System
- $89,500 for a Bio-Vision X-Ray System
- $36,000 for NICU bed warmers.
“The Tri-City Hospital Foundation is excited to be able to continue
supporting new technology and equipment for our community hospital. As Tri-City Medical Center continues to
advance and improve the patient care experience, we know that our community
becomes a happier and healthier place,” said Farrah Douglas, Executive
Director, Tri-City Hospital Foundation.

This
year’s event, emceed by KFMB News Anchor Dan Cohen, will include a five-star
dining experience, entertainment by NRG, a live auction and an over-the-top opportunity
drawing you won’t want to miss. The
event will also debut Tri-City Rock Star where guests select the top employee
performance who will receive a professional music recording package at Studio
West in San Diego, valued at over $2,000. Several special moments are expected
as the Foundation shares inspirational stories from the patient community as
well as honors its 2013 Legacy Award winner.
