Baroque Violin & Cello Recital

Two of the “brightest and best” to appear on the American Baroque music scene in recent years, violinist Adriane Post and cellist Paul Dwyer, in an intimate chamber music concert exquisitely showcasing some of the finest stylistic aspects of the Baroque.

Violinist Adriane Post has been described as one of North America’s “brightest and best” by Early Music America. She has appeared as concertmaster and soloist with Juilliard415 under the direction of Jordi Savall and Nicholas McGegan, and leads in New Trinity Baroque as co-concertmaster and soloist. A member of Apollo’s Fire, Trinity Wall Street Baroque Orchestra, Washington National Cathedral Baroque Orchestra, and the Handel and Haydn Society, she is also a founding member of the Ensemble Musical Oratory. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, Ms. Post earned her Master’s in Historical Performance at The Juilliard School.
Cellist Paul Dwyer earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Michigan, and his Master’s in Historical Performance at The Juilliard School. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and a Fulbright Fellow, he is also the recipient of the Javits Fellowship and the Presser Award. He has performed with Jordi Savall, Ton Koopman, Monica Huggett, William Christie, Menahem Pressler, principal players of Apollo’s Fire, artist-faculty of the Aspen Music Festival, and the Juilliard415/Yale Schola Cantorum Baroque Ensemble under the direction of Masaaki Suzuki.
