Fox On The Fairway

MiraCosta College’s Theatre Department is presenting “Fox On The
Fairway,” a rollicking comedy by Ken Ludwig. The play opens April 18 at the
MiraCosta College Theatre, located at 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside. Eric Bishop
will direct.

Touted by critics as "Ludwig's tribute to the great English
farces of the 1930s and 1940s" at its 2010 debut, “Fox On The Fairway” takes
the audience on a romp that pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy
denizens of a private country club. Filled
with mistaken identities, slamming doors and over-the-top romantic goings-on,
it's a furious-paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers' classics—a
high-energy adventure about love, life, and man's eternal love affair with
golf.

"This is the best comedy I have
directed since Ken Ludwig's other play 'Lend Me A Tenor.'  It’s a madcap
roller coaster of wit and fun!” says Bishop, who adds, “Doing comedy requires a
tremendous amount of skill and technique. It is the perfect learning vehicle
for our young actors."
