Lagoon Platoon Habitat Restoration-Halloween Themed
Dig in! Lagoon Platoon is an all-volunteer community habitat restoration program in San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve. On October 19 volunteers will plant native species along Escondido Creek, the main tributary of San Elijo Lagoon. San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy biologists will teach participants about the surrounding plants and animals on a site tour. Hundreds of volunteers each year contribute to improve native habitats and enhance water quality at San Elijo Lagoon.
Are you interested in learning about native spiders, bats, or other creep crawly creatures in the reserve? October's Lagoon Platoon will highlight Halloween-themed plants and animals at San Elijo Lagoon.
