Milk and Honey Jewish Cooking Classes

How can we get our kids excited about healthy, sustainable cooking? Through hands-on, mouthwatering cooking experiences! Join us in The Ranch’s kitchen for a sensory education that will connect Jewish values with nourishing food for body and soul!

Session 1 • 10:00–11:30am
For 6-10 year-olds with an adult
  • Crunchy Rosemary and Lemon Chickpeas (bonus, pot your own chickpea plant!)
  • Burekas–puff pastry filled with a yummy mixture of herbs and cheese
  • Watermelon Spritzer

Session 2 • 12:00–1:30pm
8-12 year-olds
  • Crunchy Rosemary and Lemon Chickpeas (bonus, pot your own chickpea plant!)
  • Burekas–puff pastry filled with a yummy mixture of herbs and cheese
  • Watermelon Spritzer

Session 3 • 2:00–3:30pm
13-17 year-olds
  • Frozen Chai Drink
  • Jeweled Rice–with barberries, pistachio and mixed herbs
  • Dill Pickles to Take Home

$5 per person • Register at www.jfssd.org/milkandhoney by June 19

About the Chef
Carolianna Jensen is a foodie at heart, a passionate teacher, and mother of 4 sons — now foodies just like her. Her culinary training comes from The Peter Kump School of Cooking in New York City, The Cordon Bleu, The Marcella Hazan School of Cooking in Venice, Italy, Disney Institute and her frequent culinary adventures around the world, including four food inspired trips to Israel over the last two years.
