Sarah Maisel with Paul Tillery

Sarah
Maisel (ukulele and vocals), hailed as the "Queen of Jazz Ukulele" by international music critics, has taken the world by storm and strum. 2013 has been quite a milestone for Sarah as she found herself performing for the first
time overseas at the largest ukulele festivals in England and Australia.  Originally from Birmingham Alabama, Sarah
studied classical violin for 10 years. After moving to San Diego, CA, she soon
discovered the ukulele (in 2006) and her new musical adventure began. Her first
album was recorded in 2010, and she has three albums to her credit. For Sarah,
the joy of the ukulele isn't in just performing she is an avid teacher and
loves to share her knowledge of the instrument with everyone she meets.

Paul
Tillery (acoustic bass) began playing bass in 1991. He first played in jazz
bands and then ventured into punk music. In 1998, Paul began his formal music training
at Mesa College in San Diego. He was admitted into the Applied Music Program
and began studying with Legendary Bassist, Bob Magnusson. In 2001 Paul

auditioned and was awarded a scholarship based entirely upon his playing

ability and was granted entry into the Jazz Program at SDSU. While at SDSU,

Paul studied with well known bassist Gunnar Biggs. Paul met Sarah Maisel and
the connection was instant; they have been performing together ever since.
