Day Trip Over to Bates Nut Farm for Giant Pumpkins
The Bates Nut Farm pumpkin patch is open this year from Sept. 25- Oct. 31
Pumpkin patches, a corn maze, hay rides, a general store, and petting zoo await you starting next week at Bates Nut Farm located at 15954 Woods Valley Road in Valley Center.
You'll find some of the biggest pumpkins in all of San Diego county. If you want to take home a giant pumpkin, come early. "The big pumpkins go fast," an employee told Encinitas Patch.
They also make great photo-ops. It's a fun day trip whether you've five or 95 to get you in the halloween spirit.
Bates Nut Farm is dog-friendly and open 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays through Halloween, and 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends through Oct. 31.
