Spirit Halloween Opens in Encinitas

This is the second seasonal shop to pop up so far.

Another Halloween store recently opened its doors in Encinitas.

Earlier this month Halloween Express opened on El Camino Real, and this week Spirit Halloween opened about a half a mile down the road, next to TJ Maxx.

The store carries an extensive costume selection, including all the standards you’d expect plus some that are inspired by this year’s blockbusters, including an adult teddy bear getup from the comedy Ted—and a curled, pastel pink wig modeled to look like Effie Trinket from the Hunger Games. A handful are pulled from popular TV shows, including t-shirts and biker gear designed after FX Network’s Sons of Anarchy—and costumes featuring characters from Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time, which you'll only find at Spirit Halloween.

If you’re in the market for over-the-top Halloween displays, you’ll find them here. The store carries everything from mechanical werewolves to giant stuffed spiders as big as coffee tables. Parents will also likely get a kick out of the life-size pillories underneath a sign that reads “free childcare.”

Spirit Halloween is located at 220 N. El Camino Real. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. If you know anyone looking for seasonal work, the store is hiring sales associates. For more information, you can call the store at 760-271-5325 or visit spirithalloween.com.

Hi Edward, I didn't hear any reports on the scanner or from sources of crashes, rescues or hardRead More landings.
