October 5th, 9 am - Noon, Encinitas Community Center
Learn to design and create a California Friendly Garden with this great workshop! The topics include:
- Taking A Watershed Approach
- Building A Healthy Soil Sponge
- Evaluating and Designing Your Site
- Selecting The Right Plant In The Right Place
- Using Rainwater As A Resource
- Managing Your Irrigation Properly

Garden Friendly Plant Fair & Sale
Save up to 50% on select varieties of low water use plants at the Encinitas Home Depot, October 19th:9 am - 1 pm.
This is a great opportunity to meet with gardening experts and save as much as 50 percent on select varieties of low-water-use plants. The plant fair features discounts on more than 20 types of plants.
Industry experts will be available at the plant fairs to provide customers with information on local water-efficient irrigation supplies and how to select and plant low-water-use plants.
San Dieguito Water District and Olivenhain Municipal Water District staff will also be available to provide customers with information on water conservation programs and services.
