There Should Be A Law Against Philandering Politicians

The only thing left for us to do is outlaw sex between lawmakers and their constituents. Forbid it completely, punishable by rendition to a political party of eunuchs somewhere very cold.

The news is full of sexually frustrated addicts, including politicians: the Mayor’s philandering, the sexual comings and goings of leaders in both parties.

They are not supposed to be fooling around. Sex is taking too much of their time and our tax dollars. And too much media attention! How about paying attention to things that get our city growing – instead of some politician’s private parts?

What we want to see is some intelligent law making, policies that help build our city, our economy and the middle class – jobs would be nice. If we want to see kinky, we’ll go to the movies.

Playing around may be common practice for politicians, but it isn’t what we expect of our senators, our presidents, or even our mayors.

Let me amend that a bit. We really should expect that of our leaders. There never has been a strong leader who did not also have a strong sex drive. Name a great leader who didn’t mess around. Oh, I can hear it now: Jesus didn’t mess around; Jimmy Carter didn’t mess around. Well, some people would argue differently.

Naturally, strong leaders also have strong sex drives. Good leaders also have strong moral convictions, self-control, and strong commitments to their families and voters.

Meanwhile, aren’t there more important things happening in the world that we should be talking about? I don’t care about mayoral candidate Anthony’s Weiner, do you? He has balls – I’ll give him that.

Shouldn’t those leaders we elect learn to compromise and start passing laws? If they want a dictatorship, what are they doing in a democracy? Regardless, getting their hands out of our pockets should be enough of a challenge.
