Bliss 101: Smash Grand Opening Supports Global Community

Bliss 101 showcases local art, fair trade and environmentally friendly products while supporting local and global communities. The grand opening May 7 benefited victims of the Japanese earthquake.

Bliss 101 is more than a store—it’s a new cultural destination in town showcasing local art, fair trade and environmentally friendly products while supporting local and global communities. Appropriately, the exciting grand opening held on May 7 benefited Shelter Box, an organization helping victims of the Japanese earthquake.

Guests enjoyed fish tacos, sangria, live jazz by the Red Foxtails and live painting by featured local artists Wade Koniakowksy and Pete Tillack.

Savvy owner Helen Zeldes’ focus on the ocean and natural world is reflected in her gorgeous  collection of unique coastal furniture, home décor, jewelry and art. This is the start of many more events to come celebrating art and community. Located at the long-awaited Pacific Station, Bliss 101 is a heart-warming welcome addition to the future of Encinitas.
