Cocktails for a Cause

Five beverage and one mixology company unite at June 23rd’s Encinitas Foodie Fest VIP After-Party in support of The Coastal Community Foundation’s Healthy Day Fund: 12 Signs Wine, Bon Affair, Magner’s Irish Cider, Smoke & Mirrors Cocktail Company, Stone Brewing Co. and Venom Vodka. The venue will be the luscious Lemongrass Center Garden on Second Street in Encinitas. Guests will also enjoy Bottaro Wood Fired Pizza and small plates from the Firehouse Chefs.

12 Signs Wine:
The brainchild of Marie Fox, 12 Signs Wine is a meticulously crafted collection of wines developed to match astrological sign personalities. Whether it’s sweet and romantic Pisces or bright and versatile Gemini, the wines incorporate grapes from boutique wineries throughout California tastefully blended to bring out the essence of the Zodiac.

Bon Affair:
New to the market is this exciting healthy wine spritzer product. Former corporate executive, Jayla Siciliano came up with the idea for Bon Affair when traveling in China and discovering a lack of options available during evening functions. Bon Affair, made from real wine and pure water enhanced with electrolytes, is designed to make you feel alert, alive and amazing. It is a delicious, refreshing alternative to its more caloric, alcohol-laden brethren.

Magners Irish Cider:
Magners uses 17 varieties of fresh Irish apples in their delicious cider that ferments for up to two years. The all natural product is available in original and select fruit flavors. 

Smoke & Mirrors Cocktail Company
In response to the growing trend towards handcrafted cocktails, Smoke & Mirrors was created last year by veteran mixologists Simmons and Shawn Barker. The company has quickly emerged as a dynamic leader of the San Diego cocktail scene and promises to delight VIP After-Party guest with cutting edge concoctions.

Stone Brewing Company:
The king of San Diego craft beer, Stone Brewing Company has donated over $2 million to charitable organizations since its inception in 1996. The company will generously be supplying its esteemed pale ale and Stone IPA for the occasion.

Venom Vodka:
Former Carlsbad Fire Captain Kim Blaylock and partners have created an Oceanside-based vodka company. Starting with the highest standard Cascade Mountain Spring Water, the vodka is made in small batches, distilled five times and filtered six times through crushed lava rock, onyx and diamonds. The result is a superior premium spirit delicious straight or mixed in your favorite cocktail.
