The sun was out and so was a flock of Southern California talent at this past weekend’s Patchwork Show in Santa Ana. The bi-annual indie arts & crafts festival showcases local emerging artists and designers. Here are some products that caught my eye: modern ceramics by Luna Reece, playful hand printed textiles by Sass & Peril, adorable scarves by BamBam, humorous illustration by Andrea Zuill, edgy accessories by LookCoy and fragrant aromatherapy creations by Rubyblaise Essentials.

In another post we had sick puppy Frank Robles trying to convince us to throw away our cars and freeway system, which can take us anywhere we want to go anytime of the day or night, and replace with the trolly system, which limits us to go only where it goes and only during certain hours of the day.
In all of history only about 2% of humanity has lived in real freedom and democracy, the other 98% have lived under some form of tyranny. When you have something that valuable there will always be somebody trying to steal it from you.
