LCC Friday Football Game Preview

La Costa Canyon plays Fallbrook Warriors tonight at La Costa Canyon High School. Come join the fun and support our local high school!

This Friday night LCC Mavs play the Fallbrook Warriors. JV starts at 5 p.m. and Varsity 7 p.m.

In case you missed last week's show down, La Costa Canyon High Schools game against Redlands started off rough. The Redlands Terriers began the game recovering an onside kick, which lead to their first touchdown. In the first quarter, offensive lineman Scott “Scooter” Quessenbery blocked a punt and jumped on it in the end zone to tie the game 7-7.

Going into half-time the Terriers led 13. The Mavericks stepped up their game after half-time, and the Mavericks rushed for over 147 yards and held the Terriers to only 11 yards rushing. A notable play was made by junior linebacker Jack ”Wango” Wangrin when he recovered a forced fumble and ran for a 36 unanswered points to finish the game for a 21-13... Victory!

Don’t miss the contest this Friday at home against the 1-2 Fallbrook Warriors.

LCC’s “Gang Green” defense is focusing on stopping Fallbrook’s powerful running
back #22 Vinnie Cordova.  LCC’s offense, led by quarterback Jake Sesti is hoping to surprise the Warriors with solid offensive plays to lead the team to another victory.
