7th Annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer Slated for Aug. 11

The free event will feature more than 130 dog-related vendors, a dog contest, agility course, Kid's Zone, silent auction and more.

The fastest-growing street fair for dogs and dog lovers in Southern California is set for Saturday, August 11th, from 10am-3pm on Aberdeen Drive and Newcastle Ave in Cardiff-by-the-Sea.  The seventh annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer, hosted by the Cardiff 101 Main Street, is expected to draw 10,000 four-legged friends, fans and family members.

Dog Days of Summer is San Diego County's largest dog-centric event, hosted in Cardiff-by-the-Sea by Cardiff 101 Main Street. Looking for something fun to do with your dog? Want a little exercise, socialization, and bonding with your pup in addition to FUN? Come enjoy dog contests, custom pet products and animal adoptions. The community and their canine friends come together for contests, games, one fabulous silent auction, vendors, and, of course, delicious food for both humans and canines!  It's a great way to see old friends and make new ones of the two-and-four-legged variety.

Highlights of this year include free samples, giveaways, and in-store sales from Dirty Dogs as well as a Dirty Dogs fashion show, a blessing of the dogs, dog contests including Best Kisser and Best Dressed, live music by Bucket Ruckus, delicious food and free samples from Souplantation, an agility course sponsored by K-9 Connection, a doggie photo booth courtesy of Photography by Gabriela, doggie pedicures by 20 Lounge Nail Bar, a doggie beach for your pups to cool off, a kid’s zone, and a large silent auction (including a Park City, Utah getaway and a flat-screen TV)! Also new this year, DOGTV will be setting up a lounge area that will have multiple monitors playing DOGTV for your pooches and comfy chairs and couches for the pet parents to relax. Proceeds benefit local animal charities and Cardiff 101 Main Street, which sponsors other community events throughout the year.
