Patch reader Dan Murphy has won two tickets to hear next week.
Murphy, who was chosen as the winner at random, was one of the many readers who entered to show how he’s helping to protect the environment.
The photo entries ranged from heavy labor—like hauling away tires that were washed down the Tijuana River (as Murphy is seen doing)—to simple every day steps, like flushing the toilet less frequently and walking to the grocery store instead of driving. We even learned about one reader who is increasing ocean conservation awareness by diving with sharks.
We’d like to thank all of readers who participated in the contest, and encourage you to take a few minutes to . We expect you’ll be inspired by what other locals are doing to help our planet.
Patch will also be covering the Dalai Lama’s visit on Wednesday, April 18, so be sure to check back for our story and photos that day.
