New Encinitas 'Golden Corridor' Sales Receipts Up Almost 10 Percent Over Last Year

The latest sales receipt numbers from the State of California show that New Encinitas' 'Golden Corridor' continues to fund public safety, the arts and recreation for all of Encinitas.

The city's was released this week and once again, the ‘Golden Corridor’ of New Encinitas — the El Camino Real commercial corridor, joined with the Encinitas Boulevard corridor east of I-5 — continue together to underwrite local government and urban amenities (public safety, trash, etc.) to the tune of just under a whopping $10 million dollars for the last four quarters.

The six geographic territories that comprise New Encinitas’ commercial retail and service centers combined income for Encinitas totals to $2,551,256 for the first quarter in sales taxes generation for 2011. In comparison, Olivenhain generated $34,312; downtown Encinitas garnered $391,300; Leucadia produced $177,194 and Cardiff came in at $210,237.
