Poll: Should America Back Away from Middle East?

Consulate killings in Libya and widespread protests in Arab nations expose limits of U.S. power.

Deadly protests over a low-budget anti-Islam movie have spread across the Middle East and may have played a part in provoking the killings of four American consulate Glen Doherty of Encinitas and Tyrone Woods of Imperial Beach. Despite the U.S. role in saving Libya from a dictator with genocidal intentions and defending Afghanistan from the Taliban, America is denounced and attacked in the Arab world. Should we stay engaged in those nations or cut our losses and leave?
