Traffic was backed up along Manchester Avenue after a two car collision prompted Sheriffs to partially close the intersection of Manchester Av. and Via Poco Monday morning.

Traffic was backed up along Manchester Avenue Saturday morning around 11:30 after a two car collision prompted Sheriffs to partially close the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Via Poco.

The crash was between a woman driving a BMW and another woman driving a Honda sendan, according to authorities.

Maria Walker, the driver of the BMW that was heading westbound on Manchester, said she felt the crash when the Honda driver quickly pulled in front of her from Via Poco. "It happened so quickly. I just felt the impact of the crash," says Walker.

While Walker was able to walk away from the crash, the Honda driver was rushed to the hospital via ambulance.

A volunteer officer helping to direct traffic around the scene mentioned that the traffic situation with cars leaving Via Poco can sometimes be a traffic hazard to those traveling on Manchester. "This intersection is real dangerous here becuase people don't know if you're going to make a left turn or not."
