Sheriff Bill Gore said: "We are going to keep our roads safe for travelers heading to visit family and friends. This holiday season, we will show zero tolerance for impaired drivers on the road. If you choose to drive drunk, we will be looking for you, we will stop you and you will be arrested."
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department recommends these simple tips for a safe holiday season:
-
Plan a safe way home before the festivities begin;
Before drinking, designate a sober driver and leave your car keys at home;
If you’re impaired, use a taxi, call a sober friend or family member, or use public
transportation;
If you happen to see a drunk driver on the road, don’t hesitate to call 911.
Here are some sober ride options:

Tipsy Tow

Be My Designated Driver
Trolley
Coaster
