Diedre R. Quenell was also charged with resisting arrest.
A sheriff's deputy allegedly got into a struggle with police officers today when they arrested her on suspicion of driving while intoxicated outside a Carmel Mountain fast-food restaurant, authorities reported.
Officers responding to a report of a woman driving erratically in a parking lot near the McDonald's in the 11900 block of Carmel Mountain Road took Diedre R. Quenell, 42, into custody shortly after midnight, according to San Diego police.
Quenell, who allegedly was uncooperative with the officers as they detained her, was taken to Las Colinas women's detention center in Santee to be booked on suspicion of DUI and resisting arrest, SDPD public-affairs Lt. Andra Brown said.
