Girlfriend of Encinitas Shooting Victim Speaks Out

Evelyn Zeller tells News 8 about her boyfriend John Upton, who died on March 28.

Evenlyn Zeller said her boyfriend was killed on her birthday, according to a News 8 report.

Zeller said , "was always happy and content."

Michael Vilkin is suspected of shooting Upton and faces 25 years to life if convicted of murder. He will be back in court April 10 for a preliminary hearing.
