Injured Boater Treated at Stone Steps Beach

Encinitas lifeguards and firefighters responded to the report of an injured boater on the beach north of the Stone Steps stairs just after 7:30 pm Friday night.

Encinitas lifeguards and firefighters responded to a report of an injured boater on the beach north of the Stone Steps stairs just after 7:30 pm Friday night.

Of the two men that were in the 16-foot Sea-Doo boat, one requested medical attention after fracturing bones in his left arm while on the boat. Lifeguards and paramedics treated the man on scene while the boat waded in the water close to shore.

Because the sheriff deputies didn't have a 50-foot cable to pull in the boat, the small boat drifted out to sea past the wave break. Units were requested from the Oceanside harbor division to bring the boat back to shore.

Hi Edward, I didn't hear any reports on the scanner or from sources of crashes, rescues or hardRead More landings.
