Rash of Commercial Burglaries Hits North County
Authorities are asking the public for tips that may lead to arrests.
Four garden supply businesses in North County have been burglarized in recent weeks, and authorities are now asking the public to help find the people responsible.
According to a news release from San Diego County Crime Stoppers, the burglaries have resulted in thousands of dollars worth of stolen gas‐powered chain saws, weed trimmers, leave blowers and tools. In each case, an unknown amount of suspects forced their way into these businesses after hours.
The following businesses were burglarized between Sept. 20 and Oct. 17:

- Grangetto’s Farm and Garden Supply in Encinitas and Valley Center
- Powerland Equipment in Valley Center
- L&M Fertilizer in Fallbrook
San Diego County Sheriff’s Department detectives believe the suspects responsible for this recent rash are also responsible for other crimes in North County.
Anyone who has information on the identity or location of the suspects is asked to contact detective Dave Brannan at (760) 751‐4422 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580‐8477.
