Sheriff’s Blotter: Traffic Stop Turns Up Stolen Vehicle

The following information was provided by the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. The suspects have not been convicted of a crime.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

A mountain bike valued at $300 was reported stolen in the 500 block of S. Coast Highway 101.

A commercial burglary was reported in the 600 block of S. Coast Highway 101; $100 in cash was reported stolen.

SDGE reported $200 worth of vandalism damage on San Elijo Avenue at Liverpool Drive.

A pair of sunglasses valued at $100 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1300 block of S. Coast Highway 101.

A girl’s bicycle valued at $400 was reported stolen from a business in the 1100 block of S. Coast Highway 101. 

Thursday, Feb. 2

A 36-year-old male was arrested for receiving known stolen property and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, in the 900 block of Melba Road.

Two males, age 39 and 42, were arrested for felony possession of a stolen vehicle and committing a felony while on bail during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of N. El Camino Real just after 8:30 a.m.

A commercial burglary was reported in the 600 block of S. Vulcan Avenue. The loss was not reported.

A residential burglary was reported in the 700 block of Summersong Lane. Items valued at $16,054 were reported stolen.

A case of personate to get money/property was reported in the 900 block of Hymettus Avenue; $3,894.85 in currency was reported stolen.

A 43-year-old male was arrested for being drunk in public just before 2 p.m. in the 800 block of Passiflora Avenue.

Friday, Feb. 3

A 53-year-old male was arrested for being drunk in public at 10:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Third Street.

A 20-year-old male was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance in the 100 block of Via Morella.

Saturday, Feb. 4

A battery against emergency persons was reported in the 600 block of Quail Gardens Lane just before 2 a.m. A 26-year-old male suffered a minor injury, according to a report.

An assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 400 block of S. Coast Highway 101 around 2:45 a.m. A 25-year-old male suffered a minor injury, according to a report.

A station wagon was vandalized in the 400 block of Encinitas Boulevard. Damage was estimated at $500.

A cell phone and jacket were reported stolen in the 1000 block of Oceanic Drive.

A car valued at $4,000 was reported stolen in the 100 block of W. Glaucus Drive. 

Sunday, Feb. 5

A bicycle valued at $80 was reported stolen in the 1000 block of N. El Camino Real.

A 47-year-old female was arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended license with a prior DUI around 6 p.m. in the 2300 block of San Elijo Avenue.

A residential burglary was reported in the 800 block of Brittany Road. Items valued at $2,140 and $2,550 in cash were reported stolen.

An NCTD vehicle was vandalized in the 500 block of N. Coast Highway 101. Damage to a window was estimated at $300.

A residential burglary was reported in the 500 block of Ocean View Avenue. Items valued at $3,875 and $100 in cash were reported stolen.

Monday, Feb. 6

A 25-year-old female was cited and released for possession of unlawful paraphernalia around 1:40 a.m. in the 1000 block of N. El Camino Real.

A vehicle was vandalized in the 1300 block of S. Coast Highway 101. Damage was estimated at $900.

A jacket, wallet and badge were reported stolen from a building in the 400 block of Sandalwood Court.

A bicycle valued at $299 was reported stolen in the 900 block of Melba Road.

Not dominated by the affliction, As of Irish descent, I am always wary of the indulgence.
