Sheriff's Blotter: Arrest Follows Hit-and-Run on Arcadia Road

Items of note from the desk of the Encinitas station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of April 12.

  • A 64-year-old woman reported a burglary in the 3500 block of Dove Hollow Road on the morning of April 11. The victim reported the loss of jewelry valued at $2,500.
  • A woman was arrested on a felony battery allegation following a complaint in the 200 block of Sanford Street on the afternoon of April 10. Kimberly McNeice, 58, allegedly assaulted a 33-year-old woman who complained of a minor injury. The suspect was booked into the County Jail in Vista.
  • A 23-year-old man was arrested on drug allegations at the intersection of Guildford Court and Sidonia Street on the evening of April 10. Louis Donatelli was booked into the County Jail in Vista on suspicion of possessing controlled substances, a felony, as well as on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances and possessing drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
  • A minor was detained after allegedly being found in possession of alcohol at the intersection of E Street and South Coast Highway 101, according to a report. The unidentified minor was stopped around 4:30 p.m. on April 9.
  • Tools were reported stolen from a residence and a vehicle during a "hot prowl" in the 400 block of Fulvia Street. The 60-year-old male victim contacted authorities on April 9, but the incident occurred sometime between the evening of April 3 and the morning of April 4. No reason was given for the delay in reporting the incident. The value of the missing tools was reported at more than $4,400.
  • A 41-year-old man was arrested on felony suspicion of possessing an illegal weapon in the 400 block of South Coast Highway 101 on the evening of April 9. Jeffrey Krohmer was allegedly carrying a concealed "dirk or dagger," according to a report. He was also booked into the County Jail in Vista on suspicion of being drunk in public, a misdemeanor.
  • A suspected curfew violation led to the arrests of three juveniles in the 900 block of Melba Road during the early morning hours of April 8. Their names were withheld in the report. One of the suspects was found in possession of a "lethal cutting instrument," a felony, according to the report. All were detained on suspicion of violating an Encinitas municipal code curfew prohibiting unattended minors on the streets between the hours of 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., a misdemeanor. The matter is being handled by juvenile authorities within the department, according to the report. 
  • A 62-year-old woman reported the theft of items from her vehicle in the 1400 block of Orpheus Avenue on the evening of April 8. The victim reported the theft of a purse, mobile telephone, ID and credit cards as well as cash and keys. Total value of the stolen items was set at more than $1,000.
  • A 58-year-old man was arrested on allegations related to drunken driving following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of North Coast Highway 101 on the morning of April 6. Bryan Jackson was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and violating probation following the traffic stop. He was booked into the County Jail in Vista.
  • Cameras and other items were reported stolen in the 300 block of Chapalita Drive on the morning of April 6. The victims valued the stolen items at more than $5,100. No suspect information was listed.
  • A trespassing complaint resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old man in the 1100 block of South Coast Highway 101 on the morning of April 5. Jeremy Terral was taken into custody on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and was booked into the County Jail in Vista.
  • Metal valued at $1,000 was reported stolen in the 200 block of La Veta Avenue around noon on April 5. No suspect information was reported.
  • A vehicle was reportedly the target of a burglary in the 900 block of San Dieguito Drive. The incident was reported during the evening of April 5 by a 44-year-old man. Authorities were told the theft resulted in the loss of athletic equipment and electronics valued at $1,700.
