Sheriff's Blotter: Man Cited for Trespassing Near Train Tracks

Items of note from the desk of the Encinitas station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of July 26 (based on reports released by station through July 22).

  • A 19-year-old man was cited on suspicion of trespassing on railroad property on the morning of July 20 at Chesterfield Drive at San Elijo Avenue, according to a report at the Encinitas station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Johnny Goetz was released after signing a promise to appear in court on the matter.
  • Deputies were called to the 400 block of north Rancho Santa Fe Road on the morning of July 21 following an assault report. The 39-year-old female victim told authorities she was assaulted with a weapon, but no injury was noted in the report. The weapon was not described in the report and no suspect information was listed.
  • Lynn Pittman, 50, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and driving without a license during the early morning hours of July 16 in the 300 block of South Coast Highway 101. She was booked into County Jail in Vista.
