Sheriff's Blotter: Two Arrested in Vehicle Theft

Items of note from the desk of the Encinitas station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of March 14.

  • Two men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle on the afternoon of March 10 in the 1500 block of Leucadia Boulevard, according to reports at the Encinitas station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Both suspects were arrested without incident, according to the summary report. Ardeshir Tooraji, 29, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, a felony. In addition to the previously listed allegation, Tareq Teebie, 27, was arrested on suspicion of violating terms of a felony parole. According to the report, the suspects were allegedly found in possession of a black four-door sedan valued at $2,500 owned by a 49-year-old woman.
  • A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 400 block of Encinitas Boulevard on the morning of March 13. The 56-year-old victim valued the silver four-door sedan at $3,000. No suspect information was reported.
  • A 60-year-old woman reported being burglarized on the morning of March 12 in the 1700 block of Old Mill Road. The victim reported the theft of a purse and other items valued at $610. No suspect information was listed.
  • Guitars and other items were reported stolen after a "hot prowl" (a theft while the victim was at home) was reported in the 900 block of Hygeia Avenue, according to a report. The stolen items were valued at $1,420. No suspect information was listed in the report.
  • A couple in their 50s reported a burglary in the 1800 block of Amalfi Drive on the morning of March 10. The report of a "hot prowl" resulted in the loss of checks, computers, credit cards and other items with a total value of $1,005.
  • A 39-year-old man was arrested in San Diego on a felony allegation of
    making threats in the 100 block of N. El Camino Real on the afternoon
    of March 11. The incident was reported by another 39-year-old man. The nature of the threats was not detailed in the report. Jason Miles Bwy was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego after being arrested unarmed on Rosecrans street in San Diego, according to the report. Jail records show he's being held on $50,000 bail, facing two felony counts of threatening to seriously injure the unnamed victims and two misdemeanor counts of transmitting threats electronically.
  • An 80-year-old woman reported being victimized in a fraud on the morning of March 10. The woman said the incident on Forestdale Drive resulted in the theft of $5,800 cash. The nature of the fraud was not detailed in the summary report and no suspect information was listed.
  • A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing narcotics in the 100 block of Via Morella on the morning of March 9. Alexander Baldwin was arrested without incident on the felony allegation, according to the report.
  • The Encinitas transit station reported about $2,000 in vandalism on the afternoon of March 9. The damage was reported by the North County Transit District, according to a report. Six separate incidents were listed.
  • Video games were damaged and coins were reported stolen in the 2100 block of San Elijo Avenue on the evening of March 9. The game machines, owned by a 26-year-old man, were valued at $600. About $800 in coins were reported stolen. No suspect information was listed.
  • A 43-year-old woman reported the theft of motor vehicle parts on the morning of March 8 in the 300 block of Santa Fe Drive. The parts, which were not detailed in the report, were valued at $1,500.
  • Robert Wilson, 40, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant on the morning of March 8 at Glen Arbor and Village Center drives. He was booked into County Jail in Vista following the arrest, according to a report. Details of the warrant were not listed.
  • Mathew Brownell, 26, was arrested on a felony warrant in the 1400 block of MacKinnon Avenue on the evening of March 8. In addition to the warrant, he was booked into the County Jail in Vista on a felony domestic violence allegation and a misdemeanor battery. Two victims in the case suffered minor injuries, according to a report.
  • A vehicle was burglarized in the 1100 block of Kildeer Court on the morning of March 7. The 80-year-old victim reported the theft of a briefcase, jacket and other miscellaneous items valued at $500. No suspect information was reported.
  • Two juveniles and a 21-year-old man were arrested on the afternoon of March 7 after deputies were called to investigate reports of a suspicious person in the 1000 block of North El Camino Real. Blaine Daily was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, being under the influence of drugs and an outstanding warrant. He was booked into the County Jail in Vista. Two juveniles, whose names were not released, were detained and referred to juvenile court on suspicion of being minors in possession of smoking paraphernalia.
  • Earl Enriquez, 40, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the evening of March 7 in the 700 block of Plato Place. The nature of the misdemeanor warrant was not detailed. Enriquez was arrested without incident and booked into the County Jail in Vista.
