Woman to Be Sentenced for Starting Fire in Encinitas

The fire, set in July 2010, destroyed two vehicles and a carport in Encinitas.

A woman who  to setting a fire that destroyed two vehicles and a carport in Encinitas will face sentencing Tuesday, Aug. 9.

Nancy Lee Ellis, 65, is facing a two-year prison term for starting a fire in the early morning hours of July 26, 2010, in the 900 block of Regal Road. She plead guilty  in June 2011. 

The non-injury fire destroyed a BMW, a pickup truck and the carport they were parked under. The motive of the arson attack is not known.
