Woman Wanted for Using Stolen Credit Cards in Region, Authorities Say

She reportedly charged more than $10,000 on stolen credit cards in Carlsbad and Encinitas.

Investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and San Diego County Crime Stoppers and are asking the public to help identify and locate a woman they say racked up charges on stolen credit cards at stores in Encinitas and Del Mar.

The credit cards were stolen from a woman’s purse between Oct. 12 and 14, according to a news release from San Diego County Crime Stoppers. The victim told investigators she thinks the cards were taken while she was at a movie theatre in Del Mar.

On Oct. 14 the suspect bought $3,300 worth of merchandise at the Best Buy in Encinitas—and charged another $7,500 at the Costco in Carlsbad.

The suspect also tried to use the credit cards at several other stores, but those transactions were declined.
