Stocks Asks for Second Coaster Stop in Encinitas

The Mayor proposed the idea in the past weeks.

A second Coaster stop is needed in Encinitas, said Mayor Jerome Stocks.

Stocks, who also sits on the board of the North County Transit District (NCTD), said the current station on Vulcan Drive is congested despite the city adding more than 100 parking spaces, according to the North County Times.

off D St. and Vulcan Dr. will soon see more traffic with the launch of Encinitas' newest farmers market, which NCTD has been a partner in and is promoting with special Coaster fares in an effort to attract more people.
