Camp Pendleton Conducting Artillery Training

Loud booms will be heard all week from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Twitter users report booms and window rattling all over North County.

Units on Camp Pendleton are conducting artillery and mortar training 6 a.m. to midnight every day until Friday. The training—in the Whiskey and Zulu impact areas—began Monday, according to the base noise advisory website.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the explosions may be heard up to 50 miles away, the base reports.

Those disclosures I mentioned along with many more are required by law with any California real estate transaction, and they have been required for years. As the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but can make it drink. If people insist on making one of the most important purchase they will ever invest in without reading the disclosures in their purchase contract and doing their own research, shame on them. Personally, I'm mightty grateful to have our marines there at Pendleton training to protect us if necessary. If they have to make some noise to do that, so be it.

it's quite obvious that you do not understand the reason for training at all. a civilian never would. i'm NOT impacted? please, i can sit on my porch and SEE Pendleton. normal bombing exercises shake my house and rattle my windows. being Myoclonic means i spend most of the training exercise in seizures and you don't see me crying about it. you are just a baby about the whole thing. and do try to remember that those who serve in the military pays taxes as well, you foolish thing. *insert eye roll*

Train like you fight, fight like you train.....war does not end at 10:00.....That Marine Base was there long before any of you were old enough to buy a home....If you were not smart enough to know that you can hear Military training exercises for up to 50 miles away when you purchased your home and CHOOSE to live with that range....sucks to be you.......sell your house and move where there are no Marines
