Council May Soon Consider ‘Un-Authorized Artwork’ Issue

The item will be placed on a future agenda, though no date has been set.

Ever since appeared on public property , the topic of ‘un-authorized artwork’ has been on the front burner.

During Wednesday night’s meeting, Encinitas Councilwoman Maggie Houlihan requested that there be a future agenda item to discuss the topic — a notion that was supported by Councilwoman Teresa Barth.

According to city policy, any request supported by another councilmember must be placed on a future council agenda — however, there is no timeline requirement. In an effort to expedite the process, the public can request that the item come before council sooner than later. Anyone who would like to do so can send an email to Mayor James Bond at jbond@ci.encinitas.ca.us or city manager Gus Vina at citymanager@cityofencinitas.org.
