Final Tally: Gaspar, Barth Take City Council, Bilbray Bests Busby, Prop. P Passes

Find out how the candidates fared last night with our live updates from Election Central.

Encinitas voters made it happen for Kristin Gaspar and Teresa Barth, who each won a seat on the City Council -- and effectively ended Mayor Dan Dalager's run at City Hall.  They pumped fresh blood into the Encinitas Union School Board by electing Emily Andrade and Gregg Sonken, who came in second and third after incumbent Marla Strich, who has been on the board for 12 years.  And they gave the board its first big task by voting "yes" on Proposition P, a $44 million bond measure that would pay for renovating and updating its nine schools in Encinitas and southern Carlsbad.

Encinitas Patch was at Golden Hall in downtown San Diego last night to report the election numbers as they came in.  Below you'll find the final tallies for the 50th Congressional District, Encinitas City Council, Proposition P, Encinitas Union School Board, Cardiff School Board and San Dieguito Unified High School Board.
