Encinitas School District Set to Auction Pacific View Property
The Encinitas school district is putting its seaside Pacific View school property up for auction, after the district’s board of trustees rejected a $4.3 million purchase offer from the city, reported the U-T San Diego.
According to the newspaper report, district officials believe 2.6-acre property could be worth as much as $14.5 million if it was rezoned from public/semi-public-use to residential or mixed-use zoning.
Since closing as a school in 2003, proposals for development into housing projects to a community art center have come forward.
