How to Register to Vote in Encinitas

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, we’re giving you all the information you need on how and where to register to vote.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now.

Today is National Voter Registration Day, and thousands of local, state and national organizations have mobilized to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections.

Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.

The voter registration deadline for  California is October 22.

Here’s information on how you can register in time for the Nov. 6 elections:

  • First, check your registration status. You can do that online through the County Registrar's website. If you've recently moved, changed your name, or you want to change your political party choice, you'll need to re-register.
  • If you're not registered or the information is not-to-date, you can fill out the application online or you can pick up the form at several nearby locations including: the Encinitas library, the Cardiff library, the city clerk's office, and any local post office. You can also ask also ask the County Registrar office to mail you a registration postcard by calling (858) 565-5800.
  • If you have any questions, the Sectretary of State's office has an online guide to help

Hi Edward, I didn't hear any reports on the scanner or from sources of crashes, rescues or hardRead More landings.
