The lobster rolls are served chilled or warm.

It's not often you can get an authentic taste of New England in San Diego, but the newly opened Lobster West has got you covered.

Their lobster and crab rolls are 100 percent authentic, as they have their seafood shipped fresh daily to guarantee you're eating something that was literally still swimming hours earlier.

The highlight of the Lobster West menu is, no surprise, the lobster rolls, which are served either Maine Style (chilled) or Connecticut Style (warm). Fresh bread cut into rolls is lightly touched with lemon butter and grilled, and stuffed to the brim with the sweet, succulent lobster meat. The rolls are served with a bit of mayo and sprinkled with Lobster West's own special seasoning.

The combo is $15.95 and comes with housemade cole slaw and a choice of artisan or kettle chips. If you're really hungry, you can "size it up" with more meat on a longer roll.
