Cardiff School District posted the following notice on its website:
Due to the dry, hot weather and increasing fire threats in north county, Cardiff School District and all north county public school districts will NOT be in session tomorrow. Daycare will be closed as well. We will be monitoring the situation day by day and will keep our families apprised of updates as soon as they become available. We apologize for any inconvenience and wish everyone well.
Encinitas Union posted the following announcement on its website:
The Encinitas Union School District will be closed tomorrow, May 15, 2014 due to the number of fires in San Diego North County. Although our community has not been directly impacted, we are joining surrounding districts in an effort to minimize traffic and to keep children indoors because of air quality. Updates will be made as far as status for Friday, May 16, 2014.All district after school programs are cancelled until further notice. Please make arrangements to pick up your students at dismissal time.

San Dieguito Union High School District posted this announcement on its website:
All SDUHSD middle and high schools will be closed tomorrow, along with all other North County schools, due to the ongoing fire emergency, unpredictable weather, air quality concerns and the need to conserve resources. All AP Testing & CIF Athletics are also cancelled. Make ups will be scheduled.
The decision for school closures for Friday, May 16th, will not be made until Thursday afternoon.
