A school in Encinitas actually teaches how to use the sound of Tibetan singing bowls to heal.
Diane Mandel is California's only state certified Tibetan bowl practitioner and instructor. She runs the Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing School in Encinitas.
She said sound therapy using Tibetan bowls is a practice that began with Tibetan Buddhism and uses vibration sound from bowls to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace.
Mandel said the ancient practice can help with everything from stress to trauma to neuropathy.
