Jennifer Bond replaces Angelica Lopez who has been appointed Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services for the District.

At a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on December 10, 2013 the Board unanimously appointed Mrs. Jennifer Bond as principal for the Ocean Knoll school.

Jennifer Bond replaces Angelica Lopez who has been appointed Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services for the District. Ms. Bond comes to the District with 15 years of experience in education.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and earned her Masters of Arts degree in Administration/Director of Instruction from Alverno College. Ms. Bond began her career as a Spanish teacher in the Milwaukee Public Schools. Ms. Bond then became an Assistant Principal and International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator. In this role she was instrumental in merging two middle schools to create Wedgewood Park International School which then became the first school in Wisconsin authorized to offer the IB Middle Years Programme.

In August of 2012, she became the principal of Lowell Elementary School in Milwaukee. Under her leadership at Lowell the use of instructional technology increased and the school also became an IB Primary Years Candidate School.

Ms. Bond has shared her passion for the International Baccalaureate Programme. She volunteers for the IB Organization as a workshop leader, site visitor and consultants. She feels privileged to join the talented staff at Ocean Knoll and hopes to continue to build their IB experience. Ms. Bond will join the Ocean Knoll team when schools reopen in January, 2014.
