Deepen Your Yoga Practice

Are you bored with your same old yoga class?  Is gym yoga not enough for you or hot yoga too much?  Do you wonder about the quality of instruction or whether you’re actually doing a pose correctly?  Iyengar Yoga North County invites you to try our method in a free introductory class the first Saturday of each month from 1:00-2:00 PM.  Advance registration is available online at http://www.iyengaryoganorthcounty.com/yoga-classes/intro/ .

Experience familiar poses on a deeper level in a safe, non-judgemental environment.  With the guidance of a seasoned instructor and the help of props anyone can improve their practice or learn the basics through proper alignment.  Mats, blankets and props are provided but you can bring your own mat if you prefer.  We recommend wearing non-restrictive, body-conscious clothing that allows the instructor to easily see your alignment.  

The Iyengar method focuses on developing correct body alignment, stamina, strength and flexibility.  Medical doctors and physical therapists often recommend this specific style of yoga due to its therapeutic benefits and compatibility with Western sciences such as physical therapy, kinesiology and other modern bodywork disciplines.
