This July, a camp filled with garden activities, delicious cooking lessons and plenty of outdoor fun is being offered by the Encinitas Union School District at the Ocean Knoll Elementary School campus, with the support of a grant from the Sage Garden Project.
Sage Garden Summer Camp is being offered 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to students entering 4th-6th grades in the fall. There will be 4 one-week sessions during the month of July. Students will harvest produce from the garden and prepare lunch based on a different region of the world each day, in addition to crafts and outdoor activities. $90 lab materials fee, scholarships available for students on free or reduced lunch programs.
