Surf Report & Forecast for Aug. 6-7

Despite storm activity off of Baja, no signs of increased swell at local beaches.

There was talk of this morning showing some increasing swell because of some storm activity off of Mexican waters, but so far waves are still in the anemic knee- to waist-high zone with short-lived pockets.

Water temp is still 10 degrees below where it should be, checking in at around 61.

Conditions are mostly glassy with a trace amount of NW wind that is forecasted to increase to 12 knots by afternoon.

Tide is starting to turn around to incoming after 8:15 a.m.’s low of 2 feet. High tide today: 3:30 p.m. at 5.5 feet. Sunset is at 7:44 p.m.

For tomorrow, Sunday the 7th, swell direction shifts to more of a direct westerly flow, albeit another small day for surf. Cross your fingers, perhaps on the incoming tide, we'll see some chest-high sets. Have a safe weekend.
