Surf Report and Forecast for Nov. 12-13

You're supposed to stay out of the water, but how could you when it's pretty good?

OK, first thing to get out of the way, the standard warning, post-significant rain activity: County health officials advice against swimming or surfing for 72 hours following a rain of more than one-tenth of an inch, especially near rivermouths, drain outlets and harbors.

Now that that’s out of the way, conditions look pretty clean with head-high or sometimes slightly overhead surf, but it’s crossed-up and a little peaky and consistency is still spotty, depending on where you’re surfing.

All in all, it looks pretty fun out there; not epic and perfectly groomed, but plenty of fun peaks to be had. Still be advised that water quality will be less than ideal.

Tide is still high and will drain until 4:00 p.m. today when it will fall to (negative) -0.2 feet.

Winds should stay calm and slightly offshore throughout the day. More rain is expected in the forecast, but not until later in the afternoon.

Sunset is at 4:51 p.m.

For tomorrow, Sunday the 13th, waves are expected to back off to about waist high. Swell should be primarily from the west. Winds will once again be offshore for much of the morning.
