Surf Report & Forecast for Oct. 6-7

Disorganized 4-foot windswell.

You're advised by County officials to stay out of the water for 72 hours following a significant rain event (greater than one tenth of an inch), which we had yesterday. Stay away from rivermouths, harbors and storm outlets.

If you don't paddle out, you're not missing much: it's blown out and very choppy. SW groundswell is being thrashed to bits by strong NW windswell.

Red tide seems to have largely washed away.

Sunset tonight is at 6:33 p.m.

For tomorrow, Friday the 7th, early morning sessions might not be as choppy as today but winds are expected to pick up significantly. Wave heights will reach head high but form is very questionable.
