Surf Report & Forecast for Sept. 30-Oct. 1

NW backs off; occasional SW pulses.

Mostly knee to waist high this morning with gutless, inconsistent peaks. The NW has backed off substantially, leaving trace SW pulses as the dominant swell. 

The New Moon earlier in the week is still producing radical tidal swings. This morning's high is at 11:15 a.m. at 6.3 feet; low is at 6:30 p.m. at -0.3 feet.

Winds are calm for now but will pick up to past 10 knots for a few hours, in the afternoon.

Red tide is still strong; take caution if your immune system is compromised. We've been getting lots of reports of under the weather surfers lately. 

For tomorrow, Saturday, the 1st of October, expect nothing bigger than waist high.
