Watch the Chargers Training Camp for Free Starting Thursday

Encinitas Chargers fans can catch the team gearing up for the season for free starting Thursday.

It's time to grab your brand new Manti Te'o jersey and head to Chargers Park.

ESPN reported over the weekend that the Chargers' new player had the top-selling jersey among drafted rookies, providing fresh gear for fans to wear as the team opens training camp to the public for free this week.

The first public practice is from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at Chargers Park, and the team is offering free parking, shuttle service and admission. In addition, fans will be able to buy team gear, food and drinks, and game tickets. The Charger Girls and former players also will be making special appearances at some of the practices.

Where to Park
  • July 25, 26: Gate C at Qualcomm Stadium and take a free shuttle (8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday; 1:45-6 p.m. Friday).
  • Other dates: Chargers Park, 4020 Murphy Canyon Rd., 92123. For weekend practices, fans can park at the Kearny Mesa Business Center, south of Chargers Park.
  • Parking is free.
